A great gift, or a great statement of your heritage!
With the Olympic Mountains in the background, and the grey skies of Puget Sound overhead, this Native American park features eight hand-crafted totem carvings. Totem poles hold a sacred tradition in the Native American culture, especially in the Pacific Northwest. The animal likenesses, or effigies, are symbolic of different animal spirit guides. They are said to provide direction needed at certain times, and that if we listen to the wisdom of our animal spirits they will show us the right path.
This is all captured on a 11" x 14" art tile, hand-painted with brilliant colors, and finished with complex glazes. The procedure is labor intensive, and requires kiln firing in excess of 2000 degrees! Hairlines or crazings under the glaze on the tile are part of the art style, and is normal to the glazing process. The back is finished with black velvet and a hanging hook, allowing you to feature the art in your home decor. It also has an easel leg for stand-alone display.
"Totem Art" is a brand-new, near-perfect condition tile that was featured in a show-room display, Therefore, the original Banaya packaging has been replaced with my new packaging, The result is that you will receive a 45% discount from the normal retail price found in stores. Enjoy!
